Emmy-Award winning automotive professional Paul Brian teased about an upcoming Formula 1 movie, "Looks like there’s another Formula 1 movie on the way. This time with #BradPitt and some involvement from @LewisHamilton. Please, God, don’t let it be cheesy," he tweeted.
In 2013, Brad Pitt was supposed to be part of an F1 film, "Go Like Hell," together with Tom Cruise and director Joe Kosinski. The title did not push thru however a blockbuster movie came out of it, "Ford v Ferrari," which starred Bourne star Matt Damon and Batman actor Christian Bale, and directed by James Mangold.
Finally, Pitt and Konsinski's Formula 1 dream movie is coming to life in Hollywood with a huge support from the F1 world since Hamilton will be part of it.
Lewis Hamilton has produced a number of automotive movies, from Cars 2 and 3, and also Zoolander 2. It is unclear for now as to how Hamilton is directly participating in the upcoming film, but this may be first major film appearance.
Meanwhile, veteran mega-producer Jerry Bruckheimer will also be producing the movie. His past projects include the Bad Boys, Pirates of the Caribbean, and the National Treasure franchises.
Streaming platforms Netflix, Apple, and Amazon have joined the bidding race as well as offers were pitched from studios like Paramount, MGM, Sony, and Universal.
