Now that he is no longer obliged to face and solve the problems of the Philippines, former President Rodrigo Duterte hopes to spend more time sleeping at his house in Bangkal, Davao City, at the ideal eight hours of sleep every day.

Duterte made the revelation in his speech during the thanksgiving concert rendered to him by his supporters at the parking lot of Victoria Plaza Mall, the oldest mall in Davao City along Bajada, Davao City evening of June 30.

Duterte said as president, he could not get an exact sleep of eight hours a day due to his work as the country's top official.

"If you want to be really a working president, 4, 5, or 6 hours of sleep. Hindi kami umaabot ng 8 hours na tulog," Duterte said.

Aside from sleeping, Duterte also intends to spend more time with his motorcycle and do some travel, particularly in the nearby province of Bukidnon and the city of Butuan.

Now that he is just an ordinary citizen, the former president always vows to follow the rules.

"Sunod sa lahat because you can no longer be exempted, even sa traffic," Duterte added.

The concert hosted by social media personality and ardent Duterte supporter Jam Magno drew thousands of Davaoenos. They are happy that the president is back in the city where he started his political career as a vice mayor and eventually became a president in 2016.
