Jordan Heading becomes the latest Filipino player to take his act overseas, as he takes his talent to Taiwan.

The Gilas Pilipinas cadet signed with Taichung Suns in the country's newly-formed league, the T1 League.

"Heading improves our backcourt height,” said Taichung general manager Wang Weijie. “Our backcourt is relatively short.

“His addition will be of great help to us and I look forward to the spark he will give the Taichung Suns this season.”

Heading makes his return in Taiwan, as he attended the American School of Marison in Taichung back in high school.

The Fil-Aussie guard was taken first overall by Terrafirma in the special Gilas Pilipinas round of the PBA Season 46 Rookie Draft in March.

Heading had an impressive run with Gilas, as he averaged 6.5 points and 1.5 assists during the Asia Cup Qualifiers.

The 6-foot-2 combo guard went on to post 14.5 points on an uber-efficient 72 percent shooting from downtown, along with 3.0 assists and 1.5 rebounds in the FIBA Olympic Qualifying Tournament in Serbia.

Heading will be the third Filipino players  to suit up as an import in The 1 league after Jason Brickman (Kaohsiung Poseidon Aquas) and Caelan Tiongson (Taoyuan Leopards).
