Six e-sabong sites continue to operate despite the government's ban.

According to Philippine National Police spokesperson Police Colonel Jean Fajardo, the PNP Cybercrime unit is already conducting cyber patrolling to monitor active e-sabong sites.

Cybercrime units have also processed the case buildup against six identified e-sabong sites.

They have also urged social media providers to take them down, but it will take two weeks.

President Rodrigo Duterte approved the recommendation of the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) to stop e-sabong.

The order follows the disappearance of 34 sabungeros, who are also being investigated by the authorities.

The DILG recently surveyed e-sabong operations in cities and provinces, which are blamed for the deterioration of the moral values ??of many Filipinos.
