Travis Scott just donated $1 million in scholarships to 100 students who are set to graduate this year. The gesture was made to ensure that the students will walk across the stage to receive their diplomas and be able to avoid last-minute financial challenges.

The 100 students received $10,000 scholarship each via the rapper’s previously-established Waymon Webster Scholarship Fund. Qualified recipient must have at least a 3.5 GPA at the final semester.

Among the recipients were students from 38 HBCU’s which includes Alabama A&M University, Central State University, Jackson State University, Morehouse College, Texas Southern University, Grambling State University, Xavier University of Louisiana, and Prairie View A&M University.

The one managing the foundation is Jordan Webster, who is Travis’ sister. She also just graduated with a degree from Howard University.

The donation is part of Travis’ Project HEAL which was launched following the Astroworld tragedy in November which killed 10 people and hundreds injured.

Scott was out of the performing scene for months and it was only recently when he started performing back on stage for the Billboard Music Awards last week, and at a nightclub in Miami.
