Azurin revamps PNP senior officers anew

Ten senior officers of the Philippine National Police (PNP) have been reshuffled in the latest revamp which was reportedly triggered by the recent retirement of some police generals.
Among those affected by the revamp were the top regional police posts for Central Visayas, Davao Region, Cordillera Administrative Region and MIMAROPA which covers the provinces of Mindoro Oriental and Occidental, Marinduque, Romblon and Palawan.
Police Brig. Gen. Anthony Aberin was named as the new director of the Police Regional Office 7 in Central Visayas while Police Brig. Gen. Alden Delvo was named as the new director of the Police Regional Office 11 (Davao region).
PNP chief Gen. Rodolfo Azurin, Jr. said the new designation was based on the recommendation of the PNP’s Senior Officers Placement and Promotion Board.
"This latest reorganization in the PNP is prompted by the recent retirement of some senior officials. I am confident that these senior officials will do their best to accomplish the mandated task in their respective Area of Responsibility,” said Azurin.
Police Brig. Gen. Joel Doria was designated as director of the MIMAROPA region while Police Brig. Gen. David Peredo, Jr. is now the new director of the Police Regional Office-Cordillera Administrative Region.
Police Brig. Gen. Jerry Bearis was named as replacement of Aberin at the PNP Aviation Security Group while Police Brig. Gen. Sydney Sultan hernia was named as director of the PNP Anti-Cybercrime Group.
Police Brig. Gen. Benjamin Silo who was designated as the new director of the Civil Security Group while Police Brig. Gen. Mafelino Bazar was assigned to the Area Police Command- Northern Luzon.
Police Maj. Gen. Oliver Enmodias, on the other hand, was named as the new director of the Directorate for Research and Development while Police Col. Romeo Juan Macapaz is the new director of the Intelligence Group.
Their new designations took effect on Thursday, March 16.
