Cardi B wins million dollar case against YouTuber

The rapper superstar won a defamation case against a YouTuber Latasha Kebe. Kebe was found guilty for spreading distasteful rumors and lies about Cardi B through her YouTube videos and other social media posts.
Cardi B, whose real name is Belcalis Almanzar filed a case against Kebe in 2019 over dozens of videos. According to The Hollywood Reporter, among the videos cited includes "a statement that Cardi B 'f—ed herself with beer bottles on f—ing stripper stages.' Others said she had contracted herpes; that she had been a prostitute; that she had cheated on her husband; and that she had done hard drugs."
The trial began on January 10 in Georgia Federal Court. Cardi B testified that she had felt "suicidal" and expressed her anger saying "only an evil person could do that shit.”
The jury sided with Cardi B. They held Kebe liable for "invasion of privacy through portrayal in a false light, and intentional infliction of emotional distress."
In the end, on January 24, the verdict awarded Cardi B $1.25 million in damages.
