After a productive campaign in Taiwan, former Gilas Pilipinas cadet Jordan Heading is taking his talents to Japan.

The Filipino-Aussie playmaker has signed with Nagasaki Velca, a Division II club in the Japanese B.League.

"I'm really happy that I and my family can be part of the Velca family," he said in a statement.

"I'm grateful to the management for believing in me and giving me this opportunity. I'll do my best to overcome it! I'm looking forward to meeting my teammates and Velca fans," he added.

Heading averaged 19.9 points, 4.6 rebounds, 2.4 assists, and 1.2 steals for the Taichung in Taiwan's T1 League.

In three games, his club, the Suns, was swept by Kaohsiung Aquas. The latter was backstopped by another Filipino, Jason Brickman.

The heading is also on a collision course with another compatriot in the B.League's D2 play. Earlier last month, Altiri Chiba signed fellow Gilas-caliber talent Kobe Paras.

The heading is part of the extraordinary young Gilas side that beat Korea twice in the Fiba Asia Cup qualifiers last year in Clark.
