Jordan Heading had quite the season when he played in Taiwan.

But he knows he has tall odds ahead of himself now that he girds for a new chapter of his cage career in Japan.

“Taiwan has some good basketball players as well, but the level in the B.League is a step up for sure,” he said during a media availability arranged by his new club Nagasaki.

The Fiiipino-Aussie ace already had a glimpse of how things are going to be during Velca’s preseason training camp.

“In my time with the Velca, in training, I can say that the competition is very high, we’ve got some really good players, and I’m sure the competition is gonna be strong as well,” he said.

Heading was integral with Taichung, leading that squad to the T1 Finals with 19.9 points, 4.6 rebounds, 2.4 assists, and 1.2 steals per contest.

The new challenge considered, Heading hopes to put up stellar numbers again to steer the Velca to the Division II crown and snare a promotion to where the big dogs play.

“My goal is to just fit in the team and do whatever I can to make the team succeed and to help in whatever way I can to win the B2 championship,” Heading said.
