James Yap still has it!
The 40-year-old made his return in the PBA Governor's Cup on Sunday, tallying 12 of his 14 points in the first half.
However, Yap's effort wasn't enough for Rain Or Shine to overcome a 85-107 defeat against Meralco Bolts.
When asked about Yap's overall thoughts on his return, he said that he had some jitters as soon as he stepped on the court.
"Feeling ko rookie ako. ‘Yung feeling ko na na-feel ko noong 2004,” said the two-time MVP.
“Kinakabahan, hindi ko alam kung kaya, so I’m happy na na-welcome ako nang maayos.”
Yap took a leave of absence to focus on his political career as San Juan city councilor.
