According to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN, the Utah Jazz traded Rudy Gobert to the Minnesota Timberwolves on Friday (Saturday, Manila time).
The Wolves will send Patrick Beverley, Malik Beasley, Walker Kessler, Jarred Vanderbilt, Leandro Bolmaro, and multiple first-round.
Utah will acquire unprotected picks in 2023, 2025, and 2027 and a top-five-protected pick in 2029.
Gobert is a three-time Defensive Player of the Year and has been a First Team All-Defensive selection for six straight seasons.
He averaged 15.6 points, a league-leading 14.7 rebounds, and 2.1 blocks per game last season.
The Jazz season ended after a first-round exit against the Dallas Mavericks in the playoffs.
There has also been tension between Gobert and co-star Donovan Mitchell, which forced Utah to trade at least one of them.
The French baller will join forces with fellow big man Karl Anthony-Towns.
Gobert will also team up with young stars D'Angelo Russell and Anthony Edwards.
Meanwhile, Minnesota finished the season with a 46-36 record and lost to the Memphis Grizzlies in the first round of the playoffs.
