January 25, 2023 - Wednesday 3:01 PM by GDM

Kevin Quiambao is set to replace Ange Kouame for Strong Group in the upcoming 32nd Dubai International Basketball Tournament which will start on January 27.
Kouame was ruled out of the tournament as he is still confined due to dengue fever.
Strong Group head coach Charles Tiu said that the team had to ask permission from La Salle head coach Topex Robinson.
"We decided to ask Kevin Quiambao, and thankfully DLSU allowed him to join us. It will be a great experience for him,” said Tiu.
However, the team will have to rush Quiambao's Dubai visa since the tournament will start Friday, this week.
“We need to find a way to rush and get his visa because we are playing already on Friday. Don’t know how he will pick things up, but hopefully, he will ‘cause he’s a high IQ player anyway,” Tiu added.
Quiambao averaged 11.23 points, 6.54 rebounds, 3.23 assists, and 1.08 steals for La Salle -- earning him the UAAP Season 85 Rookie of the Year honors.
