Philippine National Police Officer-In-Charge PLTGEN Vicente D. Danao Jr. announced the seizure of P680,000 worth of shabu in Batangas recently.

The said drug sting operation was conducted by the Southern Luzon police authorities over the weekend. The operation also resulted in the arrest of a high-value drug personality in the province.

In a statement, Danao said a high-value drug personality identified as John Christopher Oliver Abulencia was arrested by operating units of OPD-DEU and Batangas City Police Station during a drug buy-bust operation on May 14, in Barangay Balagtas, Batangas City.

Confiscated from Abulencia were two transparent plastic sachets of suspected shabu weighing MOL 100 grams with an estimated standard drug price of P680,000 buy-bust money, one brown paper bag, a body bag color gray, and one cellphone.

Abulencia will face criminal charges for violation of RA 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

“I would like to commend again our Southern Luzon police authorities for living up to their commitment of waging relentless operations against illegal drugs with greater focus on High Value Drug personalities, true to our shared responsibility of ensuring a drug-free and crime-free Philippines,” Danao said.
