PBA stars win city council bid in San Juan and Cebu

Two of the most popular stars in the PBA have won their bid as members of the city council in San Juan and Cebu, respectively.

James "Big Game" Yap, tagged as the PBA player with a million moves, has landed in the fourth spot in the first district council race in San Juan City.

Yap, previously married to famous actress and talk show host Kris Aquino gathered 21,427 in the recent local and national elections.

A native of Silay in Negros Occidental, Yap took San Juan as his second home and tried his luck in local politics for the first time.

Aside from Yap also winning in the election is Cebuano Hotshot Dondon Hontiveros.

Hontiveros emerged as the number one councilor in the second district of Cebu City with a vote of 21,427.

Known for his excellent shooting from the outside, Hontiveros also served as vice mayor of Cebu City before this year's election.
