PH remains third in SEA Games medal tally with 4 more golds

On Tuesday, the Philippines bagged four gold medals in the 31st Southeast Asian Games.

Team PH remains third in the medal tally with 34 golds, 39 silvers, and 51 bronzes, although second-seeded Thailand widened the gap with 43-45-63 after nabbing nine gold medals.

After winning four golds, Singapore is inching closer to the fourth spot (30-32-36).

Eric Cray won his fifth straight SEA Games title in the men's 400-meter hurdles with 50.41 seconds.

Tokyo Olympian Kurt Barbosa also struck gold by beating Panachai Jaijilla of Thailand, 16-7, in the men's kyorugi -54 kilogram class finals.

Rubilen Amit claimed the country's first gold in billiards after a 7-2 win over Jessica Tan of Singapore in the women's 9-ball singles 

Richein Yosorez and Islay Erika Bomagao won muay's first gold this year's SEA Games after ruling in the waikru.

Meanwhile, Jefrey Roda of billiards (snooker red 6-ball singles), Chloe Isleta of swimming  (women's 100-meter backstroke), Sarah Dequinan of athletics (women's heptathlon), Mark Harry Diones of athletics (men's triple jump), and the women's foil team in fencing were able to secure the silver medals.

Margarito Angana of wrestling (men's Greco-Roman 60 kilograms), Noel Norada of wrestling (men's Greco-Roman 67 kilograms), Jessica Joy Geriane of swimming (women's 100-meter backstroke), Rheyjey Ortouste, Jason Huerte, and Ronsited Gabayeron of sepak takraw (men's regu), William Morrison of athletics (men's discus throw), Robyn Brown of athletics (women's 400-meter hurdles) and Laila Delo of taekwondo (women's -67 kilograms) took home the bronze for the Philippines.
