A total of 905 athletes, together with 257 officials, will banner the country’s flag at the 32nd Southeast Asian Games, which will take place in Cambodia from May 5 to 17.

Abraham "Bambol" Tolentino, president of the Philippine Olympic Committee (POC), made the announcement during the general assembly on Wednesday at the East Ocean Garden Restaurant in Pasay City.

Cambodia will host the Games for the first time, which has scheduled 608 events over 38 sports.

Cambodia has also set special restrictions, particularly in combat sports, where nations other than the host cannot field entire teams in some events.

All sports in Cambodia will include Filipino competitors.

The trip to Cambodia is comparable to the 2019 Philippine hosting, which featured 56 sports and 1,119 Filipino participants.

The POC has also organized a special send-off ceremony for Team Philippines for April 15 at the Philippine International Convention Center.
